Crafted by Andy Brovitz. This work was inspired by Bass Rocks and Good Harbor Beach on Gloucester MA’s back shore. It is comprised of thousands of pieces of wood, all individually cut, painted, and adhered by hand. The 1/4” top layer attached to the 1/2” thick base creates a raised three dimensional effect. With some pieces being as small as .05”, it required painstaking attention to detail and took several months to complete.
